Quantitative Face Fit Testing (APC) – Train the Tester

This full day, fit2fit approved course is designed to offer theoretical and practical guidance for persons expected to undertake face fit testing of close fitting full or half face Respiratory Protective Equipment (RPE) using the Quantitative Face Fit Test method (Ambient Particle Counting - APC).

The HSE stipulates that a competent person should undertake face fit testing; the course is based around the HSEs Guidance document INDG479 (Inc fit2fit “Companion”)` which details criteria in which a competent face fit tesster must be trained. It is also ideal preparation for a fit2fit assessment.

The cousre focuses on the TSI Portacount Units using the FitPro Ultra software. Demonstartion equipment will be provided for use on the day and or we can facilitate the purchase of all neccesary equipment and sundry items if needed.

It is expected that all learners should have a detailed knowledge of RPE prior to attendance; this can be achieved by attending an RPE competent person cousre OR “Train the Tester“ in the Qualitative method. Individual certification will be issued upon successful completion of the course.

Course content includes…

· Fit tests equipment and instrumentation.

· Software familiaisation.

· Ambinet particle levels and fit factors

· RPE and wearer preperation

· Fit testing; principals, equipment, test principals, outcomes, fault finding – practical session

· Theoretical & practical assessment

Delegates will be provided with a comprehensive support materials to take away and we are more than happy to offer advice & guidance going forward if needed.

We can also assist with aquisition of a TSI Portacount instrument and assocaited sundry items if required (demonstraion equipment will be available for use on teh day).

Where possible, we will tailor the cousre to yoru specific buisiness needs and RPE that is in use.

The cousre cost is £225 + vat per person wich includes a light lunch.
